SENIOR & JUNIOR TRAINING SESSIONS continue as normal next week on Monday 26th October during half term!! Juniors 6.00-7.30pm & Seniors 7.30-9.00pm
MONDAY 2nd November the Under 14 age group's training session will move to the later time of 7.30-9.00pm.
The junior training session uses all 6 courts & space has become more limited for each age group.
To enable the coaches to deliver a variety of sessions more space is required for each age group.
To facilitate this the U14 age group will now train from 7.30-9.00pm on Mondays starting on the 2nd November at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre, giving them more space in which to work effectively.
This also creates more space for the younger age groups at the earlier training session.
Thank you for your attention & support in this matter.
General, 23rd October 2009
JUNIOR TRAINING SESSIONS restart in September.
The first session will be on TUESDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 6.00- 7.30 at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre (just a one-off session on this day because Monday of this week is a Bank Holiday & the Leisure Centre is closed).
The Nottingham City Junior Invitation Tournament is on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre from 9.00am- 4.00pm (approximate times for both days) for U12, U13, U14 & U15 teams.
Therefore a training session prior to this tournament is vital to organise the teams for the weekend. COULD ALL NEXT YEARS U11, U12, U13, U14 & U15 PLAYERS PLEASE ATTEND THIS FIRST TRAINING SESSION to ensure that team managers can confirm selection & details for the weekend tournament.
Only ONE TEAM per age group has been entered into this event so selection will have to be made depending on the availability of the affiliated players in each age group.
Subsequent junior training sessions will be on Monday evenings starting the 7th September 6.00-7.30.

SENIOR TRAINING SESSIONS restart on Monday 7th September at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre 7.30-9.00

General, 22nd July 2009
Training sessions for the club juniors & seniors for this season have now finished.

Unfortunately the senior session on Monday 6th July had to be cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions at the time that a decision was made (a storm with thunder, lightning & torrential rain was passing over the area).
This was disappointing since the club was hoping to finish the season at the last training session with the giving out of information for the start of the next season.
Also to thank our new players this summer plus the Black Gold squad from West Bridgford Monarchs Hockey Club for their commitment to & hard work at training & matches. We hope that they have enjoyed the netball & wish them Good Luck for next season.
SENIOR TRAINING STARTS MONDAY 7th SEPTEMBER 2009 RLC 7.30pm

The junior session on Monday 6th July was cancelled late & therefore most of the junior members turned up for the session. We were lucky that the rain held off for that time & the session continued.
JUNIOR TRAINING STARTS week beginning 31st August (BUT NOT ON THE MONDAY which is a Bank Holiday & therefore the leisure centre is closed). We cannot have our training session on that evening. The 'one-off session' for that week will take place on a different evening, to be confirmed, because U11, U12, U13, U14 & U15 affiliated players need to be organised for the Nottingham City Junior Tournament which takes place on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September 2009 at Rushcliffe L.C..

One of our club umpires, Julie Humphrey decided to raise funds for Breast Cancer research (a charity close to her heart) by taking part in the Moon Walk on the 14th/ 15th June 2008 in Scotland.
A 26.2 mile walk taking between 7 & 8 hours to complete starting at 11.45pm.
Julie had never walked this distance before, so planned a training regime to enable her to complete this. She was very much looking forward to the challenge.
The club agreed to sponsor Julie for this event.
Julie's text received on Sunday " Well chaps I actually did it, 26.2 miles in 7hrs 45mins with no stopping! It's the worst thing I have ever attempted but glad I managed it".
Well done to Julie & we hope that she raises loads of funds for her chosen charities.

Our First Aid Officer has replenished and renewed all the first aid kits for the squads for this season. She would like to make a request re. some of the first aid items that were used last year.
If anyone had to use a triangular bandage (arm sling) from our first aid kit last year could they please return it, now that they no longer need it. These are washable and reuseable items and although not an exhorbitant cost to replace, it would be useful to have any returned so that we do not have to spend funds unnecessarily.
Thank you for your time and effort in having a look for and returning these items when found.
